Job Title: Transportation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Engineer to join our team at Arcadis. As a key member of our transportation impact study team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on transportation planning and design.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of transportation projects, from transportation impact studies to traffic operations reviews. You will have the chance to work with a talented team of professionals and contribute to the development of innovative transportation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct transportation impact studies and related analysis for residential, commercial, and employment developments
  • Review traffic operations and capacity analysis, parking demand reviews, travel demand management, and road user safety studies
  • Develop roadway planning and design studies, assessments for existing transportation facilities and planned improvements
  • Coordinate projects between other design disciplines, manage schedule and budget
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation related to current or prospective projects
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Professional Engineer designation, or eligible for P. Eng. Designation
  • Five (5) to 12 or more years of experience including a lead role in traffic operations and parking studies
  • Progressive experience in project management and business development
  • Strong working knowledge of Ontario Traffic Manual and Highway Capacity Manual, and other recognized transportation standards and reference materials
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills, with a commitment to excellence and high-quality work
