Job Description

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking an experienced Lead Power Systems Engineer to join our Winnipeg office.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated engineer to lead our power systems studies team in Winnipeg. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical leadership and guidance on complex power system projects, including power flow and stability studies, transmission planning, and distribution network optimization.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in power system analysis, including experience with PSSE, PowerFactory, ETAP, CYME, DSATools, openDSS, and PSCAD. You will also have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external clients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on power system projects
  • Develop and implement project plans and timelines
  • Manage and mentor junior engineers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng and/or PE) required
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in power system studies
