Project Coordinator Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Coordinator to join our team at Carlson Construction in Calgary. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in assisting with project estimating, start-up, execution, and closeout.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will assist the Project Manager in drafting and issuing project proposals, tenders, budgets, cash flows, and preliminary schedules. They will work closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent to minimize their task workload and proactively identify, address, and resolve issues and problems as they occur.

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients, consultants, sub-trades, and suppliers. They will supervise and coordinate shop drawing processes, attend client meetings when required, track progress and quality of work, and work with the Operations Administrator and Superintendent to ensure deliveries are expedited and coordinated.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Project Manager in drafting and issuing project documents
  • Work closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent to minimize task workload
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues and problems
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Supervise and coordinate shop drawing processes
  • Attend client meetings and track progress
  • Work with the Operations Administrator and Superintendent to ensure deliveries are expedited
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years' experience in a construction management environment
  • Post-secondary education in Construction Engineering Technology or equivalent
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including MS Project
Estimated Salary:

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience
