About the Role

Echelon 56 is seeking a highly skilled Business Solutions Expert to join our team. As a Business Solutions Expert, you will play a key role in understanding and addressing business needs by translating them into efficient system and process solutions across a variety of insurance applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to solicit business requirements and translate those needs into potential solution documentation.
  • Business Requirement Review: Review business requirement documentation for completion and obtain final sign-off.
  • Data Collection and Migration: Collect data, oversee migration of policy data into systems and execute month-end processes.
  • Test Process Execution: Ensure test process, methodologies and tools are applied appropriately.
  • Test Scenario Development: Develop and document test scenarios, test matrices, and execute system/integration testing.
  • User Acceptance Testing: Execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Post Acceptance Testing (PAT) after system implementation.
  • Post-Implementation Support: Actively participate in post-implementation support and review phase.
  • System Configuration and Administration: Assist in updating system tables/files accurately when changes are requested including product configuration & admin setup.
  • Communication and Technical Support: Assist in communicating to management, team leaders and trainers on any new or changed functionality of a system. Provide technical support for clients via phone and e-mail to accurately record a detailed description of known issue, and work with cross-functional teams to address in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Education: Post-secondary education in Business or Information Technology.
  • Language: Bilingual (English and French).
  • Technical Skills: Advanced programming skills (Excel VBA, Python, SQL server).
  • Certifications: CIP, CRM, CBAP, CAPM, PMP preferred but not required.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years' proven experience in the Insurance or Finance industries preferred. Minimum 2 years' experience as a Business Analyst, Testing Analyst, or Business Consultant.
  • Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent written communication, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
