Homeless Information System Trainer

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Homeless Information System Trainer. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing training and support services to users of the Homeless Individuals and Families Information System (HIFIS) in all emergency shelters across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
• Promote HIFIS to new users and provide training and support services to ensure successful implementation.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with federal government staff to ensure effective data collection and reporting.
• Orient, train, test, and update users on HIFIS and related legislation, regulations, policies, and practices.
• Analyze and report on HIFIS aggregate data and trends, and assist in the development of community data reports on homelessness issues.
• Prepare statistical fact sheets and report cards based on data compiled by HIFIS, including demographic information.
• Participate in the optimization of HIFIS and ensure that services provided meet regional customer service standards.
• Maintain expertise in technical skills and program knowledge by reviewing technical literature, participating in regular field practice, and attending training, seminars, and conferences.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum three years of experience designing and delivering adult training/education in a social services environment and/or demonstrated experience supporting a technical application, testing databases, and identifying inconsistencies in system operations.
• Valid Ontario Class 'G' driver's license and a reliable vehicle to use on corporate business.
• Knowledge of corporate core competencies including customer service, communication, team work, initiative/self management, accountability, flexibility, and adaptability.
• General knowledge and demonstrated ability in instructional design, analysis, measurement, and evaluative methods, facilitation, and presentation skills.
