Job Summary

Kirkland Lake Gold Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Gold Mine Maintenance Specialist to join our team at the Detour Lake Mine site.

About the Opportunity

The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, including haul trucks and drills, as well as performing preventative maintenance and operational safety inspections.

Responsibilities
  • Perform regular servicing, preventative maintenance, and repairs on all applicable mobile equipment;
  • Use computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of required repairs;
  • Repair hydraulic, powertrain, and electrical systems;
  • Identify and report part requirements and supplies as needed;
  • Prepare electronic service reports and documentation in an accurate and timely manner;
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work area.
Requirements
  • Minimum five years' experience in a fast-paced production environment;
  • Ontario Provincial or Inter-Provincial Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certificate considered an asset;
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED;
  • Computer literate and proven knowledge of CAT ET & SIS Web;
  • Focused and self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
