Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Global Tax Compliance Specialist to join our team. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the tax compliance of all company entities, both locally and internationally. The successful candidate will be responsible for navigating complex tax regulations, providing expertise in cross-border transaction taxation, transfer pricing, and restructuring, while adhering to current tax laws.
Responsibilities- Determine tax provisions for income taxes payable and document year-end audit files;
- Participate in annual audits with external auditors regarding income tax and tax amounts appearing in financial statements;
- Compile required information for tax returns and file them in collaboration with external tax advisors;
- Prepare various forms for international groups, such as T106, T1134, NR, and T5 forms;
- Coordinate quarterly provisional tax payments;
- Follow up on tax notices issued by federal and provincial revenue departments;
- Participate in income tax audits by government authorities;
- Monitor foreign tax withholding in different countries;
- Supervise the preparation of tax returns and submit them for Moment Factory and its foreign subsidiaries;
- Evaluate tax risks related to customer and supplier contracts;
- Contribute to the development and implementation of international tax strategies;
- Provide tax advice to internal teams regarding transactions and business initiatives;
- Bachelor's degree in taxation, law, accounting, finance, or a related field;
- Specialization in international taxation (a plus);
- In-depth knowledge of Canadian and international tax regulations, as well as tax treaties;
- Expertise in transfer pricing standards, transaction taxation, and overall tax compliance;
- Research and analysis skills necessary to identify issues, facts, laws, and tax consequences;
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret complex tax regulations;
- Proficiency in software used to prepare tax returns and forms;
- Proficiency in English, both oral and written, for communication with English-speaking clients;
- $90,000 - $110,000 per year salary based on experience;
