About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cleaning Supervisor to join our team at Okanagan Spotless Cleaning Services Inc. As a Cleaning Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a team of cleaning staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Oversee the daily activities of cleaning staff, ensuring they are working efficiently and effectively to meet customer needs.
  • Inspect Sites and Facilities: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that all facilities are clean, safe, and meet our high standards.
  • Recommend Additional Services: Identify opportunities to provide additional services to customers, such as painting, repair work, or replacement of furnishings and equipment.
  • Manage Finances: Receive payment for specialized cleaning jobs and manage finances to ensure the team is operating within budget.
  • Assist Cleaners: Provide support and guidance to cleaning staff as needed, ensuring they have the necessary resources to perform their duties.
  • Coordinate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of work activities.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels and efficient use of resources.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in the cleaning industry.
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but a strong understanding of cleaning procedures and protocols is essential.
  • Work Setting: This role is based in a cleaning service company environment, with regular travel to various sites and facilities.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, initiative, judgment, and reliability are essential qualities for this role.
  • Language: English is the primary language used in this role, with occasional communication with French-speaking customers.
