We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Caretaker to join our team at Tribe Management. As a key member of our property management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our residential townhouse complex in Guelph, Ontario.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all administrative tasks related to property operations, including record-keeping and reporting.
  • Collaborate with other onsite staff to maintain a high standard of professionalism and customer service.
  • Handle move-in and move-out processes, including inspections and documentation.
  • Coordinate with vendors and maintenance personnel to ensure timely and efficient repairs and maintenance.
  • Perform routine cleaning and minor repairs in common areas and units.
  • Conduct basic landscaping tasks, including lawn mowing and weeding.
  • Issue purchase orders for work and supplies, and supervise contractors.
  • Prepare incident reports and respond to emergencies on a 24-hour basis.
  • Schedule and supervise move-ins and move-outs of rental units.
  • Maintain accurate tenant files and collect rents.
  • Perform other duties as required, including being available for call-outs.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in caretaking and/or building maintenance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Computer proficiency and ability to learn new software.
  • Able to take direction and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and own vehicle preferred.
