Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Assistant Site Superintendent to join our client's team in the GTA and Southwestern Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Site Superintendent to ensure projects achieve their scheduled targets and profitability goals.
- Advocate for and implement health, safety, and environmental standards throughout the project.
- Regularly update the construction schedule to ensure that milestones and deadlines are met.
- Coordinate tasks and activities with various project stakeholders, including clients, architects, consultants, site foremen, field personnel, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Foster strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure that materials and workmanship comply with quality standards and regulations.
- Lead by example to ensure that all site personnel adhere to the company's safety culture.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry as an Assistant Site Superintendent within an established ICI General Contractor.
- Experience managing multiple full-cycle new construction and renovation projects for health care facilities, universities, or government buildings.
- Educational background in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for leading and inspiring a diverse team.
- Skilled in using construction management software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
