UXO Technician

We are currently seeking Seasonal/Contract UXO Technicians/Technician Supervisors to work at various locations across Canada. The successful candidates will be responsible for conducting searches, classifying, and identifying unexploded ordnance and military munitions, as well as performing other related tasks.

• Conduct thorough searches and reconnoiters to identify and classify UXO and military munitions
• Excavate subsurface UXO and transport explosive materials over authorized routes
• Prepare firing systems for destruction operations and operate personnel decontamination stations
• Assist in inspecting material that potentially presents an explosive hazard and properly store explosive materials
• Supervise UXO Technicians and provide technical guidance and support

• Retired CAF members with EOD training (HA qualified) or;
• Graduate of a formal UXO training course

• Seasonal/Contract position with approximately 40 hours per week
• Per diems and travel allowance when applicable
