Job Summary

The Human Resources Generalist will play a key role in supporting the Selkirk First Nation team by providing expertise in recruitment, benefits, and employee relations.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the activities of the HR department to ensure goals are met.
  • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate human resources policies and programs.
  • Review HR projects to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Oversee the classification and rating of occupations.
  • Administer benefit, employment equity, and other human resources programs.
  • Co-ordinate employee performance and appraisal programs.
  • Research employee benefits and health and safety practices and recommend changes.
  • Advise senior management.
  • Respond to employee questions and complaints.
  • Provide customer service.
  • Conduct performance reviews.
Requirements
  • 5 years or more of experience in the field.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent written communication and judgment skills.
