Job Description
This permanent full-time position involves coordinating information through systematic collection and analysis of data. The successful applicant will conduct tactical and strategic analytics for ongoing investigations, research, and analyze information to identify individuals involved in serious and organized crime. Additional responsibilities include providing support to intelligence-led law enforcement investigations, assisting other analysts or external agencies as required, and performing domestic violence risk assessments on individuals based on several risk factors.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, applicants must have a High School Diploma plus a bachelor's degree in Social Science or a related field with significant demonstrated research and analytical experience within a law enforcement or public safety context. Relevant experience performing data analysis leveraging statistical analysis, geographic information systems, relational database management, applied research methods, evaluation of qualitative and quantitative information, and critical thinking skills is also essential. Advanced level skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc., and proficiency with analytical software and/or GIS applications, Structured Query Language (SQL), etc., are preferred.

Other Requirements
The successful candidate is required to consent to a police security clearance, which includes the voluntary completion and submission of a personal disclosure form, criminal and police records check, fingerprint check, reference checks, and truth verification through polygraph examination. A working knowledge of police databases, including Niche, PIP, MOVES, CAD, ORCA, CPIC, JOIN, APSNet, etc., would be considered an asset. The ability to work irregular/flexible hours when required is also necessary.

Applicants will undergo a rigorous selection process, which includes resume review, Personal Disclosure Form and Security Clearance Declaration, Behavioral Descriptive Interview, police fingerprinting check, polygraph examination, security clearance check, reference verification, and job offer.
