CompensationThe estimated salary for this position is $26.00 per hour, with opportunities for advancement and growth within the company. Job DescriptionAs a professional security officer with Paladin Security, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Patrolling assigned areas on foot, on a bicycle, or in a motor vehicle to ensure personal, building, and equipment security;
- Ensuring students, staff, and visitors adhere to Algonquin College policy, directives, and regulations;
- Monitoring activities and responding to incidents such as criminal activity, security breaches, assaults, sexual assaults, harassments, thefts, mischief, public order, noise complaints, safety hazards, etc.;
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- At least one year of experience in security or a related field;
- A Police Foundations Diploma is strongly preferred;
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills;
- Superior customer service skills and the ability to work independently;
- A valid Security Guard License in Ontario;
- A full driver's license (G License) is strongly preferred;
- First Aid/CPR Level C with AED certification from a WSIB-approved vendor;
- Management of Aggressive Behaviour and Use of Force Certification;
