Job Title: Construction Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at Knock Together Builders Inc. As a key member of our estimating department, you will play a crucial role in preparing accurate and detailed estimates for our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimating: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Pre-qualification Submissions: Prepare and submit pre-qualification submissions to present to clients, highlighting our company's capabilities and expertise.
  • Estimate Reports: Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms to stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Tendering Procedures: Advise on tendering procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Contract Expenditures: Monitor and adjust contract expenditures, ensuring alignment with project budgets and company goals.
  • Supply and Trade Contractors: Maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors, ensuring efficient communication and collaboration.
  • Communication: Liaise, consult, and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
Requirements:
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in estimating or a related field.
  • Skills: Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Language: Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
