Job Description

Cognizant is seeking a highly skilled Network Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load Balancing and Cloud Networking: Lead and optimize load balancing solutions to ensure high availability and reliability of network services.
  • Cloud Network Implementation: Be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of cloud networks specifically using Cisco ASR Routers, Cisco SDWAN, Nexus to support scalable and secure network operations.
  • Switching and Routing: Provide expert-level support for switching and routing configurations ensuring efficient data flow and network performance.
  • Wireless Network Solutions: Implement and lead wireless network solutions to provide robust and secure wireless connectivity across the organization.
  • Network Performance Monitoring: Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and ensure efficient network health.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for network security and performance.
  • Training and Support: Deliver training and support to junior network engineers and other IT staff on network-related topics.
Requirements:
  • 7-10 years of experience in load balancing, cloud networks, switching, routing, and wireless technologies.
  • Solid grasp of load balancing techniques and technologies.
  • Expertise in cloud networks, particularly with Cisco Meraki.
  • Extensive experience in switching and routing with a focus on Cisco technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot sophisticated network issues.
Working Arrangements:

Cognizant offers a flexible work environment and strives to foster work-life balance through our wellness programs. This role requires 5 days of in-office work per week at a client office in Brampton, Ontario.
