Position Overview

The Network Systems Specialist will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of various network infrastructures. This role requires a strong understanding of both local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs).

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting between 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee, troubleshoot, and manage the operation of LANs, WANs, mainframe networks, and associated computer workstations and peripheral devices.
  • Assess and implement computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software installations.
  • Provide effective problem-solving support to network users.
  • Conduct routine network startups and shutdowns while maintaining accurate control records.
  • Establish local area networks and facilitate Internet connectivity.
  • Modify web pages, applets, and scripts as necessary.
Experience Requirements
  • Willingness to train candidates with potential.
  • Employment Duration: Permanent position.
  • Working Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 32 to 44 hours per week.
