Job Title: Cyber Security Analyst Co-Op Student

Hydro One Networks Inc is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cyber Security Analyst Co-Op Student to join our team. As a Cyber Security Analyst Co-Op Student, you will work closely with our Cyber Security Technology & Operations team to defend our networks against cyber attacks and proactively assess existing defenses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the efforts of Cybersecurity Projects
  • Support the efforts of Cybersecurity metrics collections and dashboard reporting
  • Participate in Incident response activities and drills
  • Triage of Security Incidents and Security Administration Requests
  • Vulnerability Management & remediation tracking
  • Threat Intelligence feed analysis and dissemination
  • EDR telemetry analysis
  • Penetration Testing coordination of efforts
  • IPS tuning
  • SIEM event correlation/triage/response
  • DLP configuration/monitoring & Threat Hunting
General Accountabilities:
  • Participate in Business and IT initiated projects. Ensure that security requirements for the projects are defined and captured. Catalogue all security risks within projects, including those created within the proposed solutions.
  • Support IT/OT Security Operations efforts
  • Participate in the ongoing development of Hydro One Security Policy, Procedures and Guidelines.
Professional Development:
  • Learn Security Analysis techniques
  • Develop skills protecting organizations by learning policy, procedures and security tools related to the profession
  • Develop skills relating to prioritization based on risk
Education Level:

Discipline: Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Cyber Security

Academic Level: Undergraduate in 3rd year or higher.
