Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will work closely with Product, Operations, and other business functions to deliver end-to-end features and functionality for Cribl Lake. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the team's success and help build towards the best outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the technical direction and architecture of Cribl Lake, focusing on scalability, performance, and maintainability
  • Identify and address technical debt, ensuring the long-term health of the codebase
  • Develop clean, maintainable, and testable code using Node.js/TypeScript
  • Design and implement resilient and scalable backend services on cloud providers, preferably AWS
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality software and mentor junior engineers
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software development
Requirements
  • Strong expertise in developing backend services on cloud providers, preferably AWS
  • Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, Linux, and distributed systems
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, such as BitBucket, Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.
  • Knowledge of serverless / lambda-based implementations
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
