Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at MANITOBA INC O/A DAIRY QUEEN GRILL & CHILL GIMLI. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service team, ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
  • Establish work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels during peak periods
  • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform inventory management decisions
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve food quality and presentation

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
