Key Responsibilities:
  • We are seeking a seasoned developer with expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable Ruby on Rails applications.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting and implementing features across the entire stack, from frontend to backend.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features is essential.
  • Participation in code reviews ensures that quality and security standards are met.
  • Mentorship of junior developers and contribution to the growth of the team are also expected.
What We're Looking For:
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Ruby on Rails engineer.
  • Familiarity with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, is required.
  • Experience with building RESTful APIs and working with third-party APIs is necessary.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, is also essential.
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket, SonarQube, etc., is a must.
  • Experience contributing to technical design documentation is expected.
  • The ideal candidate must be flexible and able to work in a hybrid environment.
Requirements:
  • Must be either a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada.
  • Must be able to obtain a Canadian Industrial Security Clearance to NATO SECRET level.
  • Must be eligible for International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Controlled Goods Regulations Program (CGRP) government clearances.
