Job Summary

As a Community Health Support Specialist at Northern Health Authority, you will play a vital role in providing home support services to clients in accordance with a pre-established care plan. Your key responsibilities will include assisting with activities of daily living, promoting maximum independence, and ensuring the well-being of individuals and families in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist clients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, and oral hygiene
Promote maximum independence and self-care among clients
Provide home support services in accordance with a pre-established care plan
Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care

Requirements:

Graduation from a recognized Home Support Attendant/Resident Care Aid Program
Registration with the BC Care Aid & Community Health Worker Registry
Valid Class 5 BC Drivers' License
Certificates in CPR, First Aid, and Food Safe
Use of personal vehicle
Or equivalent combination of current education, training, and experience
