Job Summary

The Activity Instructor II (AI2) plays a crucial role in providing mobile community-based services for individuals with mental health issues.

This position works under the direction of the Manager/Supervisor, Mental Health Services and collaborates with case managers to provide care, supervision, and support for clients and caregivers through various activities that promote optimal functioning.

Responsibilities:
  • Develops and implements individual and group programming that engages clients with their environment.
  • Assesses client strengths, interests, goals, barriers, and functional needs to create a personalized plan.
  • Works closely with clients and their support networks to ensure effective implementation of activity plans.
  • Monitors and evaluates client progress, making adjustments as needed.
  • Provides ongoing education, training, and guidance to clients and caregivers.
Key Performance Areas:
  • SKILL DEVELOPMENT AND REHABILITATION: Enhances client abilities and promotes empowerment.
  • GROUP FACILITATION AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: Facilitates group activities and links clients to community resources.
  • HEALTH PROMOTION/DISEASE PREVENTION: Delivers programs promoting healthy behaviors and disease prevention.
  • CRISIS MANAGEMENT: Assesses crisis situations and intervenes to de-escalate or defuse them.

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate professional to join our team at Prairie Mountain Health. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of mental health principles and practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The salary for this position is approximately $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This estimate is based on industry standards and location-specific factors.
