Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Developer to join our Global Trade Intelligence development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying databases in a Microsoft SQL Server environment, as well as providing consulting and support to other developers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop databases in Microsoft SQL Server, ensuring optimal performance and scalability
  • Develop and maintain SQL and PL/SQL scripts, including ETL processes using SSIS packages
  • Provide consulting and support to other developers on database-related issues, including data modeling, normalization, and query optimization
  • Troubleshoot database and SQL problems, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum uptime
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop solutions that meet those needs

Requirements

  • University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience of 5+ years in an SQL Server DB Developer role
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
  • Applied knowledge of MS SQL Server tools, SSIS, Performance Tuning and Optimization
  • Demonstrated ability to create normalized database schemas utilizing data modeling discipline
  • Strong TRANSACT – SQL and PL/SQL skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with the practical application of JSON and XML in SQL Server
