Senior Database Programmer Job Description

NCR VOYIX Corporation is a leading global provider of digital commerce solutions for the retail, restaurant and banking industries. As a Senior Database Programmer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and administering cloud-based databases to support our SaaS offerings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement multi-cloud database strategies for NCR Digital First Banking's Cloud SaaS offerings
  • Develop and maintain database automation scripts using Terraform or configuration management utilities
  • Ensure database design patterns align with industry best practices, including RDBMS 3NF, noSQL, and open-source databases
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure database solutions meet business requirements
  • Develop and maintain database performance tuning and optimization strategies
  • Ensure database security and compliance with industry standards
Requirements:
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, MIS, or related discipline
  • 4-6 years of database experience
  • 3+ years of experience in public cloud implementation
  • 2+ years of experience in software development (DevOps and database admin automation)
  • 5+ years of datacenter technology, architecture, and operational experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with modern database and security tools
