Senior Database Programmer Job Description

NCR VOYIX Corporation is a leading global provider of digital commerce solutions for the retail, restaurant, and banking industries. As a Senior Database Programmer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and automating database systems for our Cloud SaaS offerings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement multi-cloud database solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Develop and maintain database automation scripts using Terraform or configuration management utilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure database design patterns align with business requirements
  • Ensure database performance, security, and availability in cloud environments
  • Develop and implement backup, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies
  • Work closely with the SRE team to ensure database solutions meet service level agreements (SLAs)
Requirements:
  • 4-6 years of experience in database programming and administration
  • 3+ years of experience in public cloud implementation
  • 2+ years of experience in software development (DevOps and database admin automation)
  • 5+ years of experience in datacenter technology, architecture, and operational experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in utilizing modern database and security tools
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
  • Proficient with Jira, Project Management tools, ServiceNow, Observability tools (Dynatrace, AppDynamics), PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
