As a Graduate Pharmacy Technician, you will have the opportunity to work in various settings, including hospitals and community-based locations throughout Nova Scotia. You will be responsible for preparing, packaging, and dispensing medication under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.

Job Description
  • Compounding of sterile and non-sterile dosage forms
  • Dispensing drugs to inpatients and outpatients in unit dose
  • Physician order entry
  • Working with automation
  • Inventory control
  • Medication reconciliation
  • CIVA systems
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Be a graduate of an accredited Pharmacy Technician program
  • Be eligible for licensure and registration in Nova Scotia as a Pharmacy Technician (NSCP)
  • Have competencies in other languages, with French being preferred

  • A competitive salary of $23.19 per hour as a Graduate Pharmacy Technician
  • Signing bonuses starting at $5,000 for some programs/units, with potential for up to $10,000 for rural placements
