About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team at Canadian Western Bank. As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a critical role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist business stakeholders in realizing their stated objectives using data assets and information products that enable better and faster decisions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to support business operations and decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure the accuracy and relevance of data visualizations.
  • Design and implement data models that optimize performance and scalability.
  • Integrate data from various sources to create a single, unified view of business performance.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity by conducting regular data validation and cleansing activities.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on how to effectively use Power BI tools and reports.
  • Administer the Power BI tenant, including managing user access, security settings, and performance optimization.
  • Utilize Power Automate and Power Apps to streamline processes and enhance data workflows.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power BI reports and dashboards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 2-5 Years experience in Power BI design and development.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, DAX, and Power Query.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with business stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Power BI certification.
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably with a focus on Power BI.
  • Understanding of financial services and banking industry data.
  • Proficiency in Power Automate and Power Apps.
  • Education or experience in Machine Learning and/or Artificial Intelligence is considered an asset.
