We're seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst for our North American Headquarters district in Edmonton, Alberta, that is available for 8 months starting in September 2024.

As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:

  • Developing and maintaining reports and dashboards.
  • Translating business needs into production reports and dashboards.
  • Acquiring data from a variety of structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Providing technical support and assistance to report and dashboard consumers.
  • Creating and maintaining process and system documentation.
  • Participating in advanced analytics projects.
  • Liaising with business, technology, and support teams to ensure business requirements are met.
  • Identifying and suggesting improvements to existing solutions and processes.
  • Performing quality assurance and system testing.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Currently enrolled in a computing science, computer engineering, or information management related program.
  • Keen interest in data management as it applies to business intelligence and analytics.
  • Ability to quickly gain proficiency in new software.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI is preferred.
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python and C# is preferred but not required.
  • In addition to the technical skills listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be flexible, stay organized, and maintain attention to detail and accuracy.
