Geriatric Nutrition Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Dietitian to join our team at Williams Lake Seniors Village. The successful candidate will be responsible for the nutritional management of residents, ensuring that clinical standards are met and a quality meal service is provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement nutrition care plans for residents, adhering to Ministry of Health regulations and legislation.
- Monitor and revise nutrition care plans as needed, ensuring that meals and snacks meet Canada's Food Guide to Healthy Eating standards.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and community services to provide comprehensive care.
- Establish policies and procedures for resident meal service and nutritional care.
- Conduct nutrition and food service audits, and develop documentation and reporting systems.
Requirements:
- Member in good standing with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Food and Nutrition, and completion of an accredited internship program.
- Recent clinical experience in geriatric nutrition is an asset.
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated written and verbal clinical skills.
- Knowledge of clinical nutrition principles as related to the geriatric population.
