This opportunity is for our production centre located in Lachine.
Responsibilities- Manage employee relations, including scheduling, absences, staffing, training, evaluation, and development, and all other aspects related to managing a production team in a unionized environment.
- Support efficiency and key performance indicators.
- Understand and manage the manufacturing process, including mixing, filling, and packaging.
- Perform root cause analysis on equipment failures or shutdowns that have resulted in downtime.
- Manage overall product quality to meet all standards and specifications.
- Generate production reports.
- Work in synergy with other departments, including logistics, maintenance, and quality.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of four years' experience in a unionized manufacturing and production environment, with a minimum of two years as a direct supervisor of a team.
- Experience in cleaning and sanitation would be considered an asset.
- Bilingualism in French and English.
- Good understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), health and safety standards, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), and ISO standards.
- Excellent knowledge of continuous improvement principles and methodology tools for problem-solving and leadership performance.
- Intermediate computer and database skills; SAP is an asset.
