Job Description

The Occupational Therapist will provide essential services to inpatients, enhancing their recovery and independence. Key responsibilities include assessing and treating patients to promote functional recovery, skills of daily living, and environmental modifications. This role contributes to discharge planning and requires collaboration with inter-professional teams.

The successful candidate will work on a casual basis, contributing to ensuring a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The physical demands of this role may include prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Member in good standing with the C.O.T.O required
  • Recent experience in acute care medicine and surgery required; emergency and Intensive Care preferred
  • Strong discharge planning skills an asset
  • Computer literate, required
