Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in the Dartmouth office. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will lead and collaborate with the Electrical team to deliver electrical design and project management services for commercial, institutional, healthcare, municipal, and industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead electrical design and project management of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, communications, security, and more.
  • Develop and monitor electrical design strategies for building construction to ensure efficient and sustainable project delivery.
  • Manage client relationships and project service delivery, actively participating in the entire project life cycle.
  • Coordinate the preparation of engineering specifications and drawings, quantity and cost estimates.
  • Ensure electrical drawings and specifications meet established project criteria and applicable standards.
  • Develop standards related to our electrical engineering practice, ensuring best practices for project management and delivery.
  • Prepare reports, proposals, and tender/bid submissions, budgets, project plans, and other supporting documentation.
Requirements
  • Educated in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University.
  • Immediate eligibility for P.Eng. registration.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in electrical engineering.
  • LEED Accreditation and experience with sustainable design initiatives is considered an asset.
  • Experience with engineering tools such as AGI32, SKM PowerTools, Autocad, BIM.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to plan, set priorities, and see projects through to completion.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong experience in Microsoft Office.
