Your Contribution

Englobe is looking or for a Senior Electrical Engineer to work out of the Dartmouth office

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will lead and work in collaboration with the Electrical team. The candidate will be part of an electrical design team where he/she will be expected to lead design teams and work independently with attention to detail on projects of varying size and complexity for buildings and infrastructure in commercial, institutional health care, municipal, and industrial applications, including overall project management with design of low/medium voltage power distribution, lighting, motor control, fire alarm, communications and security systems.

Lead Electrical design and project management of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, communications, security, etc. for commercial, industrial and institutional buildings.Dealing with Clients, contractors and suppliers in the positive promotion of the firm.Actively participates in all projects, providing guidance, client input/feedback, and general direction to the electrical teamWorking with the design team on the project, develops and monitors electrical design strategies for building construction to ensure efficient and sustainable project deliverySuccessfully develops relationships with clients, industry affiliates, engineers, technologists, technicians, and construction personnelManages client relationships and project service delivery, actively participating in the entire project life cycle, from preliminary services through project implementation, and warrantyMeet with clients regarding projects, progress reporting, and the resolution of issues, as requiredCoordinates the preparation of engineering specifications and drawings, quantity and cost estimatesResponsible for ensuring the electrical drawings and specifications meet established project criteria and applicable standardsDevelops standards related to our electrical engineering practice, ensuring best practices for project management and deliveryPreparation of reports, proposals, and tender/bid submissions, budgets, project plans, and other supporting documentation, as requiredWhen necessary, involvement with a variety of agencies for project approvals and permittingEstimating and scheduling of projects, procurement of materials, and update / maintenance of company-related resources
Your Profile
Electrical Engineering Degree from a recognized UniversityImmediate eligibility for P.Eng. registration.A minimum of 10 years' experience LEED Accreditation and experience with sustainable design initiatives is considered an asset.Experience with engineering tools such as AGI32, SKM PowerTools, Autocad, BIMValid driver's license.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to produce well‐written reports and technical specifications.Ability to plan, set priorities and see projects through to completion.Ability to work independently and take initiative.Ability to work in a team environment.Strong experience in Microsoft Office.
