Le Conseiller juridique principal, finance, fait partie de l'équipe Enterprise Legal - Technology & Operations et Corporate Areas - Finance and Securities de BMO Groupe financier. Le principal responsable de ce rôle est de fournir des conseils et des services juridiques de haut niveau en matière de valeurs mobilières et de droit des sociétés pour soutenir les fonctions de trésorerie, de relations avec les investisseurs, de gestion du capital et du groupe du chef comptable de BMO Groupe financier.

Compétences et responsabilités

  • Fournir un soutien de haut niveau sur des questions telles que : (i) offres publiques et privées mondiales et financements internes ; (ii) obligations de divulgation continue ; (iii) activités de gestion du capital telles que les rachats de titres, les offres publiques de rachat normales et les plans de réinvestissement des dividendes ; (iv) interaction avec les régulateurs ; (v) implications en matière de droit des valeurs mobilières concernant les fusions et acquisitions ; (vi) activités générales de gestion de la trésorerie ; et (vii) certaines questions de gouvernance d'entreprise.
  • Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les équipes de trésorerie, de relations avec les investisseurs et de gestion du capital pour fournir des conseils juridiques et des services de soutien.
  • Contribuer à l'élaboration et à la mise en œuvre de stratégies juridiques pour soutenir les objectifs de BMO Groupe financier.
  • Participer à des projets et des initiatives pour améliorer les processus et les procédures juridiques de l'entreprise.
  • Collaborer avec les équipes juridiques et non juridiques pour résoudre des problèmes complexes et pour fournir des solutions innovantes.

Qualifications requises

  • Sept années de pratique du droit, ou combinaison équivalente de scolarité et d'expérience.
  • Diplôme en droit (LL. B. ou JD) et permis d'exercer le droit dans le territoire concerné.
  • Expérience en pratique privée, à l'interne ou au sein d'un organisme de réglementation liée à la réglementation des activités du secteur d'activité ou du groupe d'exploitation.
  • Connaissances dans le domaine juridique, habituellement avec une spécialisation liée au groupe fonctionnel ou au secteur d'activité.
  • Connaissance du contexte commercial et réglementaire dans lequel BMO Groupe financier exerce ses activités.
  • Compétences en négociation, en communication orale et écrite, en analyse et en résolution de problèmes, en influence, en collaboration et travail d'équipe.
