About the Role

The Clinical Nurse Leader provides clinical guidance and administrative support within the Clinical Services. Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating daily activities with the Manager, Clinical Services to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Developing and implementing policies, procedures, and standards of care.
  • Providing coaching and mentoring to staff for professional development and performance improvement.
  • Participating in the development and implementation of PHSA/BC Cancer policies and procedures.

What You Bring

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as an RN with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Three (3) years recent related clinical nursing experience which includes teaching and leadership experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide supervision and work direction.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with others both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership, time management, organizational, teamwork, and team-building skills.
  • Demonstrated skills in CPR techniques.
  • Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).
  • Knowledge of social, economic, political, and historical realities impacting indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports (BC DRIPA, TRC, etc.).
