Nurse Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Care Specialist to join our team at RhynoCare. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- To provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician's orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RN.
- Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s).
- Ensure timely and accessible admissions for residents, including comprehensive orientation to the home and services offered.
- Ensure safe and timely resident transfers and discharges.
- Ensure the supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, and adhere to protocols on assigned shifts.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Effective and compassionate interaction with others.
- Respect for each resident as an individual with self-respect and privacy rights.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including the Long Term Care Act, Program Standards for Long Term Care, and the Health Disciplines Act.
- Medical Clearance, including TB tests.
- Vulnerable Sector Police Check and/or Adult Abuse Registry Check.
- Clear Criminal Record check.
