Job Summary
The Registered Nurse is a key member of the healthcare team at Brightshores, responsible for providing high-quality patient care and promoting health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Site Manager, the Registered Nurse will:
- Assess, plan, and implement patient care to achieve optimal health outcomes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and services
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
- Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and guidelines
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario or eligibility
- Ability to interpret basic arrhythmias and work on Medical/Surgical Unit as required
- Current certification in ACLS, PALS, BCLS, and CTAS, or willingness to obtain
- Leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
- Assessment and interviewing skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to continuous quality improvement
- Ability to work all shifts and commit to continuous professional development and continuing education
- Basic computer knowledge and participation in staff meetings and unit-specific projects
- Communication and collaboration skills with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
- Recent satisfactory attendance and performance
- Adherence to Brightshores' CARE Behaviours and LEAD Competencies
Preferred Qualifications
Emergency Nursing Certificate, Physical Assessment Course, TNCC or equivalent, recent Medical/Surgical/PACU/Day Surgery/Critical Care experience, and two years recent Emergency experience are preferred.
