About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Manager to join our team at KFC /Taco Bell - Brantford. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of our restaurant staff, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet our customer needs.
    • Train and develop our staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to provide excellent customer service and to maintain our high standards of quality.
  • Operations Management
    • Establish and implement effective systems and procedures to manage our restaurant operations, including inventory management, scheduling, and customer service.
    • Monitor and control costs, ensuring that we are operating within our budget and that we are maximizing our profitability.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that our customers receive exceptional service, responding promptly to their needs and resolving any issues that may arise.
    • Monitor customer feedback and use it to make improvements to our services and products.
  • Inventory and Supply Chain Management
    • Manage our inventory levels, ensuring that we have the right products in stock at the right time.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with our suppliers, ensuring that we are getting the best possible prices and service.
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure that our restaurant is a safe and healthy environment for our staff and customers, implementing and enforcing health and safety procedures and protocols.
    • Monitor and report any health and safety incidents, taking prompt action to prevent recurrence.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a restaurant management role.
  • Work Setting
    • Restaurant environment.
  • Tasks
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules.
    • Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation.
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
    • Address customers' complaints or concerns.
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Supervision
    • 3-4 people.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
    • Fast-paced environment.
    • Combination of sitting, standing, walking.
    • Work Term: Permanent.
    • Work Language: English.
    • Hours: 30 hours per week.
