Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health Officer to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our Environmental Health team, you will play a vital role in protecting the health and well-being of our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct environmental health assessments and investigations to identify and mitigate health hazards
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce the incidence of communicable disease, injury, and health hazards
  • Provide consultative and education services to the public, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with environmental health legislation, policy, and standards
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to promote a healthy environment and prevent disease
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a health-related discipline
  • Certificate in Public Health Inspection (Canada)
  • Current valid BC Driver's License
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
