Senior Claims Adjuster Job Description

Charger Logistics Inc, a world-class asset-based carrier, seeks a highly skilled Senior Claims Adjuster to join its team. As a key member of the claims department, you will play a critical role in providing claim handling services and support to drivers, investigating and negotiating claims, and acting as a liaison between the company and insurance providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and adjudicate complex claims, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Oversee the investigation, evaluation, and resolution of bodily injury claims involving company vehicles or drivers.
  • Prepare detailed file summaries for internal reporting, large loss assessments, and reinsurance purposes.
  • Ensure all bodily injury claims are handled in accordance with industry best practices and company policies.
  • Adjust physical damage claims, including unreported damage claims.
  • Negotiate directly with insurance company adjusters, claimants, and third-party representatives.
  • Discuss accidents, damage, preventability, and processes with commercial vehicle operators.
  • Maintain accurate files for litigation, subrogation, physical damage, liability, and workers' compensation claims.
  • Report claims and accidents as necessary.
  • Be available on-call for nights and weekends for serious accidents and other duties as necessary.
  • Select, direct, and manage vendor relationships, including towing companies, body shops, garages, and parking/storage yards.
  • Update and post payments for repairs.
  • Order police reports, set up new claim files, confirm loss to insurer & broker.
  • Communicate with the Claims team and Safety/Compliance team on relevant items.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in an Insurance program or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in trucking, claims, or safety and compliance is preferred.
  • Experience with commercial lines and transportation liability.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
  • Strong multi-tasking, time-management, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and remain calm in crisis situations.
Compensation Package

We offer a competitive $75,000 - $90,000 per year salary, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, career growth opportunities, and more.
