We're on a mission to revolutionize banking for business owners at Relay. As our Senior Engineering Manager for Banking Innovation, you'll play a critical role in driving our vision forward.

Salary

The estimated salary for this position ranges from $150,000 to $250,000 per year, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities
  • Oversight of engineering project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring quality standards, deadlines, and budget constraints are met.
  • Maintenance of effective processes and rituals, including sprint planning, code reviews, and technical design reviews.
  • Collaboration with senior leadership to define and implement the technical vision and strategy for the company.
  • Alignment of engineering outputs with user needs and business objectives through close work with product management, design, and other stakeholders.
  • Supporting the growth and development of a high-performing engineering team, including hiring, onboarding, and performance management.
  • Fostering a collaborative engineering culture that encourages feedback, learning, and growth.
Requirements
  • A strong technical background with a proven track record of shipping high-quality products.
  • Excitement about building and scaling an engineering team while supporting them in doing their best work.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to provide clarity in times of uncertainty or change.
  • Pragmatic decision-making skills, considering tradeoffs in scope, technical debt, tight timelines, etc.
  • High customer focus and understanding of who we're building for.
  • Ability to connect the dots between teams and manage cross-functional initiatives.
