At Brightshores, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate BSW or Mental Health Counsellor to join our team in the Rapid Access Addiction Medicine Clinic (RAAM). As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality assessments, counselling, treatment planning, and referrals to appropriate services within Addiction Treatment Services, Brightshores, and the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group counselling services to clients with addiction and mental health issues
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
  • Collaborate with community agencies and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, families, and community stakeholders
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of treatment plans and service delivery
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field
  • Current registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers or the College of Psychotherapists
  • Minimum two years' experience working in a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience in addiction services, crisis intervention, and emergency psychiatry
  • Familiarity with principles and practice of intensive case management, rehabilitation, and the recovery model
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPR and CPI certification
  • GAIN Q3 and/or ADAT certification
  • Experience working with DATIS and Motivational Interviewing
