About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Road Construction Inspector to join our Infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with contract documents, drawings, and specifications on construction projects.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and calculate production rates to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Administer operational constraints of the contract and monitor compliance with contract provisions.
  • Provide a leading role in monitoring compliance to commitments of and administering construction contract provisions regarding Quality Control Performance Measures.
  • Conduct site surveys and inspect construction activities, operations, and work to ensure compliance with contract documents.
  • Liaise with service providers for specialized inspections and testing to ensure tasks are completed under the terms of reference.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Familiarity with field construction activities and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proficiency in MS Office.
  • Able to handle multiple priorities without losing focus and able to travel within the Ottawa and surrounding area.
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with minimum 4 years experience in engineering/construction working on MTO projects.
  • Registration as a Technician or Technologist with O.A.C.E.T.T. or Professional Engineer or Engineer-in-Training with PEO.
