Development Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Development Procurement Specialist to join our team at BRP. As a key member of our Global Sourcing department, you will play a critical role in developing our new products and supporting the supply chain at an operations level.
Key Responsibilities- Manage Purchasing Activities: Oversee purchasing activities for existing production parts in accordance with pre-established procurement strategies.
- Ensure Supply Chain Continuity: Proactively ensure the supply of components to plants by collaborating with the logistics, planning, and production sectors.
- Develop Contingency Plans: Create contingency plans for supply issues to minimize disruptions to our operations.
- Contribute to New Component Development: Collaborate with engineering, quality, and strategic suppliers to develop new components.
- Manage Component Development Schedule: Ensure the timely delivery of components from prototype to mass production.
- Ensure Part Availability: Ensure the availability of parts for assembly of different generations of products under development.
- Negotiate with Suppliers: Negotiate and respect various agreements with suppliers, including delivery times, cost structures, and fluctuations in raw materials.
- Manage Budget and Cost Prices: Manage your parts portfolio budget and regularly update cost prices.
- Relevant Experience: Relevant experience or training in procurement, administration, engineering, or other related fields.
- Bilingualism: Bilingualism is essential, both spoken and written, as the person in this role will be representing BRP to international suppliers (French/English). Fluency in Spanish would be an asset.
- Strong Analytical and Negotiation Skills: Excellent analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to work in a team environment.
- Good Work Organization and Project Management: Good work organization, priority management, and project management skills.
- Interest in BRP Products: Interest in BRP products, various manufacturing processes, and lean manufacturing.
