Clinical Psychologist

Job Summary:
The Clinical Psychologist will provide psychological assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to children, adolescents, and adults with eating disorders and related mental health difficulties in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide ongoing psychological treatment to families and parents of children/adolescents and adults referred to the program.
- Work collaboratively with team members and community partners to provide evidence-based care to clients.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or Psy.D in Psychology with competency in Clinical Psychology with adolescents, adults, and families.
- Registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
- Experience and training appropriate to an outpatient setting within a brief acute care model preferably with a hospital setting.
- Substantial training and experience in the area of eating disorders with both adolescent and adult populations.
- Strong clinical and diagnostic/formulation skills, individual and group psychotherapy skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively on an interdisciplinary team.
- Proven communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to work well independently as well as part of an interdisciplinary team, and to work effectively with community partners.
- Strong consultation skills necessary.
- Demonstrated research and program evaluation skills.
- Committed to client-focused philosophy.
- Able to project a progressive, positive, professional image throughout the program, hospital, and community.
- Proven working knowledge of the Mental Health Act of Ontario.
- Must have satisfactory performance record.

- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff, patient, and environmental safety and participation in regular in-services in this area.
- Proven good attendance record with capability of maintaining this same standard.
Conditions of Employment:
- The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Hospital and OPSEU Local 348.
- Successful External applicants must provide a satisfactory Criminal Investigation Reference for the vulnerable sector, dated within the past six (6) months.
