Welder-Fitter Helper

We are seeking a skilled Welder-Fitter Helper to join our team at IWeld Canada Corporation. As a key member of our metal fabrication team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient production of high-quality metal products.
Key Responsibilities- Operate Metal Cleaning Equipment: Safely operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from metal products.
- Transport Items: Transport items throughout the plant using powered equipment, ensuring timely and efficient movement of materials.
- Assist Metal Workers: Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators, or other metal workers as needed.
- Sort and Organize Materials: Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Grind and Chip Excess Metal: Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools, ensuring precision and attention to detail.
- Clean Machines and Work Areas: Clean machines and immediate work areas, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- Load and Unload Vehicles: Load and unload vehicles, ensuring efficient transportation of materials.
- Polish Metal Products: Polish metal products to a mirror finish, meeting quality standards.
- Valid Driver's Licence: Possess a valid driver's licence.
- Physical Demands: Be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for extended periods, handling heavy loads, and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrate attention to detail and manual dexterity, ensuring precision and accuracy in work tasks.
- Team Player: Be a team player, demonstrating dependability, excellent oral communication, flexibility, reliability, and resourcefulness.
