Welder-Fitter Helper

We are seeking a skilled Welder-Fitter Helper to join our team at IWeld Canada Corporation. As a key member of our production team, you will assist our welders and fitters in various tasks related to metal fabrication and equipment operation.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in Metal Fabrication: Help welders and fitters in preparing metal products for welding, including cleaning and degreasing surfaces.
- Operate Equipment: Assist in the operation of metal cleaning equipment, such as grinders and sanders, to remove excess welds, rust, and scale from metal products.
- Transport Materials: Transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the plant using powered equipment or manually.
- Sort and Organize: Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials to ensure efficient production.
- Clean and Maintain: Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Load and Unload: Load and unload vehicles with raw materials, finished products, and equipment.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: Will train.
- Physical Demands: Physically demanding, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, handling heavy loads, and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Language: English.
- Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
- Dependability: Reliable and dependable in meeting work commitments.
- Communication: Excellent oral communication skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing work priorities and deadlines.
- Work Site Environment: Dusty, hot, noisy, and at heights.
- Work Setting: Industrial facility or establishment.
- Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
