Job Summary

CSA Group is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead the development of standards related to environment and climate change. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the industry and contribute to the company's mission of making the world a better, safer, and more sustainable place.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple environment standards development committees, including facilitation, communication, member recruitment, and preparation of meeting agendas, minutes, and draft standards.
  • Oversee all aspects of standards development, ensuring timely and budget-friendly completion within identified project timelines and in accordance with CSA Directives.
  • Engage and manage a diverse stakeholder community, including industry executives, academia, and senior government officials.
  • Apply sector knowledge to identify potential areas for new standards or training programs.
  • Develop and secure new business opportunities within or related to environment and climate change.
  • Coordinate with other departments within the company to ensure seamless development and publication of standards and business opportunities.
Requirements
  • Technologist or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 3-5 years' experience in an environment-related field, including circular economy, GHG management, climate change, business or environmental management systems, and sustainability.
  • Knowledge of the standards industry, government policy, industry landscape, and funding programs/models.
  • Experience leading or working with multi-stakeholder committees or groups.
  • Experience in writing proposals, business plans, and technical documents.
  • Standards development experience or a history of working with standards is an asset.
  • Designation as a Certified Project Management Professional, or equivalent designation/experience, is an asset.

  • Strong oral and written communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in writing proposals, business plans, and technical documents.

  • Competency with major Microsoft and Project Management software.
  • Demonstrated experience managing the activities of others.
  • Bilingualism is an asset.
