About the Opportunity
HOOPP Thames Limited seeks a highly skilled Sr. Analyst, Calculations to ensure quality in all HOOPP processes. This role requires technical expertise to perform in-house reviews of all technical questions regarding calculations, utilizing the Plan Text and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities
The Sr. Calculations Analyst will support the Actuarial Solutions team by reviewing or preparing off-system calculation details, recommending enhancements to calculation standards and procedures, acting as a resource for ongoing operations and special projects, and working with the internal HOOPP audit group as required. Additionally, the successful candidate will support the Member Services Team by conducting processing reviews of cases for accuracy and quality, analyzing data to identify quality issues, preparing statistical reports summarizing findings, recommending corrections and improvements to methodologies, and liaising with Client Services as applicable. The role also involves supporting cyclical processes and data quality, being accountable for calculation support and audit for cyclical processes, performing data validations for calculation purposes, and being a resource for data storage inquiries. Furthermore, the Sr. Calculations Analyst will be accountable for business specifications and coordination on special projects, maintain a standard of information sharing, collaborate with other divisions to provide direction and recommendations for improvements, and proactively provide feedback and escalate issues to the Manager. Key responsibilities include participating in weekly project status reports, providing training and mentoring of team members, and preparing monthly and quarterly statistics for the Manager.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates must have a university degree in actuarial science, math, or statistics, along with five years of progressive experience in the pension industry. A solid knowledge of pension plan administration and governing legislation is essential, as well as a sound understanding of systems and Microsoft applications. The ideal candidate will possess excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, good interpersonal and communication skills, strong organizational skills and initiative, and effective report writing and stakeholder management skills. Ability to transfer knowledge to team members is also required.

About HOOPP Thames Limited
HOOPP Thames Limited offers a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package including 100% company-paid extended health and dental benefits for permanent employees, optional post-retirement health and dental benefits subsidized at 50%, wellness programs including yoga classes and nutritional consultations, annual wellness reimbursement program for health and wellness-related expenses, and membership in HOOPP's defined benefit pension plan.
